It feels like it's been forever since I've built something. Having two kiddos makes things like that a little hard to do :) I sure do miss the fresh cut of cedar planks! I decided that I needed to start using up all the scraps I have laying around since I can't bring myself to throw any of it away...you never know when you just may need it :) I'm starting off with some small projects for now like this cute little caddy with a metal handle.
I used 5 pieces of cedar planks cut at 24 inches (2), 19 inches, and 5.5 inches (2).
I then grabbed my nail gun and attached the longer sides to the bottom 19' piece, making sure the bottom piece was centered.
I then attached the two ends.
I had some galvanized metal strips laying around from a previous project, so I reused one of them as a handle. I secured it with two screws on each side.
I love how this looks just a little bit more decorative than a normal wood box with the sides jutting out.
And the handle sure does help too :)
After having this on display with some flowers, I thought it would look perfect on my buffet table in my dining room housing some silverware. Now I just have to decide which look I like better :)

I just finished a couple of big projects that I can't wait to share with you guys! Just have to wait a little bit :)
